Current Service Opportunities at IPC
Discover service and giving opportunities through IPC that make a difference at our church and in our community. All volunteers with Children or Youth must follow the requirements of the Child & Youth Protection Policy.
Each week, IPC volunteer tutors meet one-on-one with 3rd-graders at Hayes K-8 to help them build confidence and improve their literacy skills. The spring term runs from January 20 to May 5, and volunteers are needed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:15 - 4:15 p.m. A scripted, easy-to-follow curriculum is provided, and a background in education is not needed to volunteer. Please reach out to Marion Dukes, Director of the Children's Fresh Air Farm, if you are interested in learning more or signing up.
Nkhoma, Malawi is home to one of Africa’s oldest hospitals, founded in 1914 by Presbyterian missionaries. Participants will experience meaningful service, learn more about themselves, and engage with IPC’s mission partners while making a difference in the world. This trip is designed for those in the medical field, and will take place Jan. 31–Feb. 10.
Volunteer with your family or a group to provide evening meals for the women and children staying at First Light. IPC will be providing evening meals February 22-28.
Join IPC’s Western Carolina Mission Trip, June 7 – 14, 2026 as we continue relief efforts following Hurricane Helene. This hands-on trip will focus on helping families rebuild and restore their homes and communities. To learn more, contact Rev. David Seamon.
